Nurse Manager - Transitional Care and Med​/Surg Telemetry

About This Role

The Nurse Manager will oversee the delivery of care within the 4A Transitional Care Unit and the 4M Med/Surg Telemetry Unit at Mercy Hospital. This role is ideal for a dedicated leader who can enhance patient care and support caregivers in a fast-paced environment.

• Pay: $92,620 - $141,265 annually
• Location: Canton, OH
• Facility: Mercy Hospital
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Manage the practice of professional nursing and delivery of nursing care on an assigned unit.
• Establish clinical direction of nursing care and provide clinical supervision.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
• Develop quality initiatives and implement policies and procedures.
• Supervise caregivers and promote their development.
• Maintain adherence to JCAHO and other regulatory standards.
• Coordinate unit operations with other units and departments.
• Develop and monitor budgets, approve purchases, and establish or revise inventory quotes.
• Analyze personnel structure and determine staffing needs.
• Evaluate performance, conduct selection and termination processes, and develop strategic plans.

Education:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred

Experience:

• Three years of recent clinical nursing experience required
• At least one year of healthcare management experience required
• Two years of management experience in an inpatient environment preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
