Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license in hand required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained prior to start
• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Epic EMR experience required
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safe Medicate assessment completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• RTO must be discussed during the interview process
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for this role
