Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep, Stocking
Position Summary
Provides member service. Maintains the checkout area and resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services. Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology. Processes member purchases, assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies for different membership and payment types. Follows safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise, correcting and reporting unsafe situations to facility management.
Maintains entrance areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise, promotes the company's products and services, zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, assists members with transporting items, and maintains a safe shopping environment.
Maintains exit areas, reviews member receipts, acknowledges the member, and identifies member needs. Seeks to secure and safeguard Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity, maintains paperwork, logs and other required documentation, executes emergency response procedures, and ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
Assists with training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teaches new technology and tool functionality, delivers new program rollout training, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy and applying these in business processes and practices.
Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress and information; recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties and feedback.
