Account Manager – Canton, OH

Airgas is hiring for an Account Manager in Canton, Ohio. The position offers a salary of $70,000–$75,000 plus commission, a monthly auto allowance, and travel within the local assigned territory.

Responsibilities
  • Build and sustain high‑value partnerships within business and industrial sectors.
  • Advance sustainable growth within an established territory by nurturing existing accounts and discovering new opportunities.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to help customers integrate the full range of solutions.
  • Identify and support customer needs through collaborative discovery conversations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver customized solutions.
  • Facilitate alignment sessions, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that support long‑term partnerships.
  • Identify areas to cross‑sell complementary solutions within existing accounts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and promptly address inquiries and concerns.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated track record of advancing sales and business development goals while surpassing key milestones.
  • Ability to use a collaborative sales process to understand and address customer concerns.
  • Proficiency with common email, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Proactive approach to identifying client pain points and facilitating technical solutions.
  • Excellent skills in building alignment and navigating agreements.
  • Ability to foster understanding and connect with individuals from different backgrounds.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to support customers’ success.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of outside sales experience.
  • Ability to nurture long‑term partnerships and build alignment across complex stakeholder groups.
  • Knowledge or strong desire to learn about industrial, specialty, and medical gases.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools such as Salesforce; SAP experience preferred.
