Security Guard

$16.00 / Hour

• Patrol industrial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Apprehend trespassers and remove people who violate rules or create disturbances.
• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Contact emergency services in cases such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non‑business hours.
• Conduct random checks of individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into or out of restricted areas.
• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
• Authorize and check in trucks, and check trucks leaving premises.
• Transport employees as needed.

• Great interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with visitors.
• Ability to de‑escalate situations.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Ability to work in high‑pressure environments.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Great physical strength and agility.
• Keen and observant eye to ensure suspicious activity is noticed.
• Ability to act with integrity and in a professional manner.
• Availability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without need for employer‑sponsored work authorization.
