As the Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll support the overall maintenance, safety, and appearance of the property by completing repairs, work orders, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting across guest rooms, commercial areas, restaurant venues, and building systems. You’ll use a variety of tools and technical resources to install, maintain, repair, and assess electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and related equipment while ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable standards.

You’ll also help coordinate supplies, communicate with management or vendors as needed, and provide reliable service that supports smooth property operations and exceptional guest experience.

What You’ll Do:
  • Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical/electronic testing devices to complete maintenance and repair work.
  • Perform guest room, commercial area, restaurant venue, and building maintenance repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and related equipment.
  • Complete routine and preventative maintenance to keep building systems operating efficiently and prevent property deterioration.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace, assemble, install, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, components, plumbing systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Review sites, blueprints, wiring diagrams, technical diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to support accurate installation, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Ensure electrical systems meet national electrical safety standards, applicable regulations, and GV Destination policies and procedures.
  • Complete work orders through the ticket system, record materials used, and communicate repair needs, equipment concerns, or replacement recommendations to management.
  • Monitor maintenance supply, equipment, and parts inventory; place orders as needed or coordinate with suppliers, vendors, outside service providers, and the maintenance manager.
  • Follow all safe operating procedures, maintain safe and sanitary property conditions, and support efficient, compliant operations.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, critical thinking, time management, and work ethic while maintaining a valid driver’s license and performing other duties as assigned.
Schedule Expectations:

Due to the needs of the hospitality industry, employees must be available to work varying schedules, including rotating on-call, weekday, and weekend shifts. Technicians are expected to follow the on-call protocol established by Gervasi management.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, building services, or hospitality maintenance.
  • Strong general handyman and repair skills.
  • Hands‑on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to assess electrical issues accurately.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Positive, service‑minded attitude with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials as needed.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional on‑call shifts.
