Maintenance Technician
A manufacture in the Canton, Ohio area is trying to find an experienced Machine Maintenance Technician / Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping our production floor running efficiently by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all industrial production machinery and facility systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all production equipment and core facility systems to ensure peak operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 3-phase electrical equipment and systems up to 480 volts.
- Replace faulty machine components, including motors, bearings, belts, gearboxes, pumps, and sensors.
- Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and mechanical drawings.
- Respond promptly to unexpected equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Install, relocate, and assist with the setup of new industrial machinery.
- Maintain shop utilities, including air compressors, lighting, overhead doors, and basic building systems.
- Accurately complete work orders, preventative maintenance logs, and service records.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Assist with spare parts inventory management and recommend continuous equipment improvements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or formal Technical/Machine Maintenance training.
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and 3-phase electrical systems.
- Proven ability to read and understand complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical installation manuals.
- Adept at troubleshooting industrial equipment using a variety of hand and power tools.
- OSHA 30-Hour training/certification is a strong plus.
- Solid written, verbal, and technical documentation skills.
