1st Shift Construction Laborer

We are seeking a 1st Shift Restoration Specialist to join our team in Canton, OH. The role involves responding to residential and commercial job sites to perform mitigation, cleanup, demolition, drying, and restoration activities following various property damage events. Work hours are 8 AM to 3/4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to residential and commercial job sites to perform mitigation, cleanup, demolition, drying, and restoration activities following water, fire, storm, tree, and other property damage events.
  • Operate restoration and construction equipment safely while following company procedures and industry standards.
  • Assist with reconstruction and repair projects including carpentry, roofing, drywall, flooring, painting, and general construction tasks.
  • Load, transport, and maintain tools, materials, and equipment while traveling to customer properties throughout the service area.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, and team members to ensure a positive customer experience and quality project completion.
  • Learn and develop restoration and construction skills through hands-on training.
Essential Skills
  • Basic construction or carpentry skills.
  • Mechanical skills with hand and power tools such as multi-tools, tape measures, and saws.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in remediation, mitigation, or restoration (floods, fires, smoke, mold, tree damage, etc.) is nice to have.
  • Experience in flooring (LLP), framing, roofing, drywall, or overall facilities maintenance is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
  • Trade school graduates and entry-level candidates with basic construction knowledge are welcome.

Environment

The role involves working with a team of 10-15 employees on residential and commercial sites in construction environments. A clean driving record is necessary as you will be using company vehicles.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, OH. The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
