Overview

This is a full‑time, local position in Canton, OH, for a professional light products transport driver. Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of petroleum products to regional terminals, refineries, and other locations, following specified policies and procedures under the supervision of local fleet management.

A Commercial Driver’s License - Maintaining a satisfactory driving record and consenting to company review of driving records
- Registration with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and consenting to review of clearinghouse records
- Interstate driving capability
- Operating manual and/or automatic transmission
- Active CDL endorsements:
Hazardous Materials and Tank Vehicle (required)
- Ability to work up to a 12‑hour AM/PM shift
- Availability to work hours beyond the scheduled shift
- Perform pre‑trip inspection on equipment in accordance with MPC policy and DOT regulations
- Check tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer for general operating requirements, ensuring all required equipment is available and in good operating condition
- Note inspection findings and deficiencies on the pre‑trip inspection form
- Drive a tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer to transport product safely, efficiently, and professionally
- Obey all applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Follow MPC and site‑specific standard operating procedures for loading and offloading
- Perform post‑trip inspection on equipment in accordance with MPC policy and DOT regulations
- Complete all regulatory and customary paperwork
- Ensure equipment is ready for the next shift
- Communicate all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, per company procedures
- Report all equipment issues promptly
- Follow, maintain, and adhere to all safety rules and operating procedures, including DOT regulations
- Work outside in all types of weather conditions
- Work on elevated spaces of 30+ feet on graded elevation
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull 50–65lbs
- Sit for extended periods of time
- Grip a steering wheel for extended periods of time
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record and consent to company review of driving records
- Pass required drug and alcohol screening
- Complete DOT physical and maintain current medical card
- Pass three‑year DOT safety background check and seven‑year criminal background check
- Pass pre‑trip exam and road test to demonstrate proficiency operating required equipment
