Transport Driver

Position

Marathon Petroleum Company LP (MPC) is hiring a professional light products transport driver for a full‑time, local position in Canton, OH. Drivers will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of petroleum products to regional terminals, refineries, and other locations. This role is managed under local fleet management and requires independent following of company policies and DOT regulations.

• Hourly range: $33.01 – $34.89

• Active Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record and consent to company review of records
• Registered with FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and consent to review
• Ability to drive interstate
• License restrictions: operate manual and/or automatic transmission
• Active CDL endorsements:
  Hazardous Materials and Tank Vehicle (required)

• Ability to work up to a 12‑hour AM/PM shift
• Flexibility to work hours beyond the schedule

• Perform pre‑trip inspection in accordance with MPC policy and DOT regulations, noting any deficiencies on the inspection form
• Drive a tank truck or tractor‑trailer safely, efficiently, and professionally, obeying all applicable laws and MPC standard operating procedures for loading and offloading
• Perform post‑trip inspection and complete all required documentation, ensuring equipment readiness for the next shift
• Communicate all incidents, including safety and environmental concerns, per company procedures
• Report all equipment issues promptly
• Follow, maintain, and adhere to all safety rules, operating procedures, and DOT regulations

• Work outside in all weather conditions
• Work on elevated spaces: 30+ feet on graded elevations
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of 50–65 lbs
• Sit for extended periods
• Grip a steering wheel for extended periods

• Maintain a satisfactory driving record and consent for review
• Pass required drug and alcohol screening
• Complete DOT physical and maintain a current medical card
• Pass a three‑year DOT safety background check and a seven‑year criminal background check
• Pass a pre‑trip exam and road test to demonstrate proficiency with required equipment
