Position: Bus Driver - 2 openings
  • Work Hours: Monday through Friday, between 22.5 and 30.5 hours per week; extra work opportunities available.
  • Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour.
Job Description

Drives bus to transport passengers over specified routes according to time schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive passenger vehicles ranging from 9-65 passenger capacity, serving students with developmental disabilities to and from their homes/schools within Stark County.
  • Comply with all Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws, safety rules as established by the Ohio Department of Education and Board Transportation Policies and Procedures.
  • Complete daily paperwork and maintain accurate records of all passengers transported.
  • Document all incidents and accidents as they occur.
  • Perform bus safety pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, ensuring vehicle is in proper working condition.
  • Maintain all safety equipment and communicate all defects and maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary bus environment.
  • Use proper securing devices for safety vest, wheelchairs, car seats, and seatbelts.
  • Attend all program‑wide in‑services and training programs as assigned.
Other Duties as Assigned

Any other occasional work assignments within the qualifications and responsibility levels of this position.

Qualifications and Certifications
  • Minimum physical requirements as stipulated by the State of Ohio, including successful completion of an annual T‑8 Physical Examination.
  • Valid Ohio Commercial Driver’s License with School Bus Endorsement; driving abstract reflecting less than six (6) points.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certifications and Crisis Prevention Training.
  • Subject to random drug testing per Department of Transportation requirements.
