Equipment Operator

We are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join the team at our Canton Transfer Station, Canton TX. Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus, but willing to train the right candidate.

The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays working 45-55 hours a week.

• Perform maintenance around the site and facilities as needed
• Operating dozers, excavators, compactors, along with trucks and smaller equipment
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Customer service and must be able to communicate with your team

• The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.

• Experience driving forklift, dozer, or articulated dump truck preferred
• Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility
• Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
• Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
