Job Summary:
The West Texas A&M College of Engineering invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics to begin fall of 2026. The preferred candidates holds a doctoral degree in mathematics.
Work Performed:
* Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in mathematics and/or mathematical statistics.
* Develop a scholarly research program incorporating graduate and undergraduate students.
* Serve as an academic advisor to students in the major.
* Assist college leadership in driving curriculum design and development.
* Active participation on discipline, college and/or university committees.
* Active engagement in professional development activities.
* Be involved in education outreach activities.
* Willingness to assume other duties as assigned.
Necessary
Qualifications:
* Doctoral degree in mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience and/or interest in K-12 mathematics education.
