*** This position is a full-time employee that will substitute teach every day of the week. This employee will earn leave accruals, year round pay, benefits (if elected), and years of service towards TRS retirement. Human Resources will contact this employee every morning to issue their assignment/campus for that given day. Flexibility with location and assignments will be expected.
$125 Daily Rate
Qualifications:Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or the equivalent
- Completion of Canyon ISD substitute training
Skills:
- Must have a pleasing personality and a desire to work with students.
- Must have the ability to assume responsibility for direct instruction of students.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Posture:
Moderate standing; occasional kneeling, squatting, bending, and stooping - Motion:
Moderate walking - Lifting:
Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds) - Environment:
Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise - Mental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
