Living Water Christian Fellowship is seeking a Children’s Minister who is a shepherd, leader, and disciple-maker with a passion for helping children and families know and follow Jesus.
This full-time position provides spiritual, visionary, and organizational leadership for our children's ministry (birth–4th grade) by creating a safe, engaging, and gospel-centered environment where children can grow in their faith and families can be equipped to disciple their children at home.
The ideal candidate will love children well, lead volunteers with encouragement and clarity, and partner with church staff to help carry out the mission and vision of Living Water.
Primary Responsibilities:Spiritual Leadership & Discipleship
- Lead and support a gospel-centered ministry for children and families.
- Provide encouragement, prayer, and pastoral care for children, parents, and volunteers.
- Help equip parents as the primary spiritual influencers in their children's lives.
- Create environments where children can know, love, and follow Jesus.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and encourage ministry volunteers.
- Build healthy ministry teams and foster strong relationships.
- Ensure volunteers are equipped and supported for effective ministry.
- Develop future leaders within the children's ministry.
- Oversee weekly children's ministry preparation and Sunday operations.
- Coordinate curriculum, lessons, supplies, and classroom organization.
- Maintain ministry schedules, communication, and planning systems.
- Utilize tools such as Planning Center, Google Workspace, and Canva.
- Help plan and lead family-focused events, seasonal ministry opportunities, and outreach activities.
- Support family discipleship through communication and take-home resources.
- Help connect new families into the life of the church.
- Ensure all child safety and protection policies are followed.
- Oversee volunteer screening and training procedures.
- Maintain organized ministry systems and documentation.
- A growing and active relationship with Jesus Christ.
- A clear passion for children's and family ministry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead volunteers with humility, encouragement, and clarity.
- Experience in children's ministry or related leadership is preferred.
- Alignment with the beliefs, mission, and values of Living Water Christian Fellowship.
