Harris is seeking a Specialist, Logistics Engineer at our Cape Canaveral, FL location. There, you will join our Systems Test and Launch Operations team where you will participate in logistics planning, integration and testing of our space bound hypersonic launch vehicles, culminating in the thrill of launch operations. Essential Functions:

Working under general supervision:
* Perform Integrated Logistics Support and logistics support analysis.

* Analyze, plan, and implement complex logistics tasks.
* Perform maintenance, sustainment, inventory, storage, supply, packaging and handling, and transportation of complex aerospace hardware.
* Understand and use inventory systems, tool control, calibration, facility optimization, warehousing, flight hardware contingency recovery and transportation, design support activities, and logistics products and processes.
* Generate, author and maintain standard logistics documents.

Qualifications:

* Active DOW Secret Secuirty Clearance
* Bachelor's Degree a related logistics/engineering and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional

Skills:

* Experience in logistics services for either ballistic missiles or space launch vehicles.

* Experience in providing logistics services for government and military programs.

* Experience working with and managing government furnished property, customer furnished property, critical flight hardware and interfacing with Government facilities and test ranges.

* CFR 49 Certified and/or knowledge of shipment of hazardous materials

* Willing to be trained to work with Class 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4 ordnance devices.
* Willing and able to travel for extended periods both inside and outside of the continental U.S.
* Solid computer skills and experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Able to communicate with an integrated product team, including government agency, military service, subcontractor, and Coleman Aerospace personnel.
* Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
* Willing to work overtime and weekends to meet critical schedule dates.

* ESD prevention and training.
* Experience as an aircrew member and/or a background in aircraft support needs.

* Experience with 463L Cargo handling systems.

* Capable of obtaining an FAA Class III (or higher) medical certificate. Able to meet USAF Aerospace Physiological standards, satisfactorily complete the associated training, and willing to support launch team aboard USAF aircraft.
* Familiar with USAF policies and procedures for HAAMS (high altitude airdrop missions) operations. Previous experience as an aircrew member and/or a background in aircraft maintenance.
* Satisfactorily complete safety training courses for working in the vicinity of, handling, testing, and installation of explosive devices.
