Position: Electronics Engineer III, Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)

* Description:

** The Fleet Ballistic Missile  FBM  program is seeking a

** Lead Electronics Engineer
** to join the Electrical Ground Support Equipment  EGSE  team

Location:

** This position does not support teleworking** ; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in:
Cape Canaveral FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full time

Please note we will not provide relocation services for this position

- ** What does this role look like?*
* You will support FBM LE refresh and design update projects for Electrical Ground Support Equipment  EGSE   Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM

- ** Key activities you will accomplish in this role:*
* - Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy's Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program

- Mentor Junior engineers, interface extensively with our customers, as well as senior leadership

- Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems,

including data review, error analysis, integration and troubleshooting

Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems

- Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions

- Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers

- ** To be effective in this role, you will need:*
* - Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware

- 3  years professional experience

- While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a
** Secret clearance
** US Citizenship is required

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline from an accredited College or University

- Hardware development experience

- Experience with product life cycle  development, deployment, retirement  

- Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment  ATE  or other similar systems

- Previous experience as a certified principal engineer or product subject matter expert on integrated hardware equipment

** Desired

Skills:

*
* Experience in one or more of the following:
Windchill, Zuken, CREO

- Experience working on projects teams and development efforts

- Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrate test systems, and experience as Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent

- Demonstrated an ability to lead/coordinate with small diverse teams in development of tech products

- Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentations

- Requirements decomposition and technical proficiency

- Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure

- Issue Tracking experience

- Experience troubleshooting

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

** Security Clearance Statement:
