Location:
This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Cape Canaveral, FL and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

What does this role look like? In this role, you will lead and champion process improvement initiatives across the FBM EGSE Department (Electrical/Software Engineering). Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
- Define, implement, and sustain best in-class engineering processes that enhance product quality, reduce cycle time, and increase overall development efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering leads, program managers, quality assurance, and operations to drive continuous improvement using best practices (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies).
To be effective in this role, you will need:
- Experience and/or knowledge in the EGSE Project Development Lifecycle and be able to work well in a team environment, which requires excellent communication skills.
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require government security clearance.
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- 5+ years professional experience
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Familiarity with electrical schematics and interconnect diagrams, PCB design flow, version control (Git)
- Strong understanding of development project lifecycle (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall) and Systems Engineering V-Model.
Desired
Skills:
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated industries (e.g., DO-178C, IEC 61508).
- Experience in electrical and/or software development
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence senior stakeholders and present technical data clearly.
- Experience with Jira or Atlassian Toolsets
- Must able to work autonomously and drive items to closure

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
