The launch operations team is a part of the Cape Canaveral launch site and is primarily responsible for the operational aspects of vehicle integration, payload integration, pad operations, countdown operations, recovery, and reusability. Over the last few years, the launch operations team successfully lifted the Terran 1 vehicle off the ground and have transitioned focus to designing and building the infrastructure to support our next generation vehicle, Terran R.

The team is working hand in hand across multiple engineering disciplines to build out critical systems such as the launch pad, transport erector, integration hardware, transport vessels, horizontal integration facilities, and much more to support the Terran R program.

• Responsible for electrical utility construction activities for launch facilities and will be responsible for the development of construction drawings, request for proposals, competitive bids, bid evaluations, sub-contractor selections, and subcontractor management.
• Design electrical systems and supply design requirements for other disciplines pertaining to hazardous areas
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians
• Responsible for creating and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
• Develop processes that will be used by the team to optimize workflow and responsibilities

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Proficient experience with specific examples in the construction industry working with electrical systems with a mix of analysis/design, hands-on field experience, project management, and project execution
• Demonstrated examples leading complex projects utilizing matrixed team organizations with multiple customers
• Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplined groups in a fast and dynamic work environment

Nice to haves but not required:

• Experience working with DOD, USAF/USSF, and/or NASA
• Experience in the aerospace (orbital launch vehicle) sector
• Professional Engineer (PE) License

Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Hiring Range: $152,000 - $228,000 USD
