Description of Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide electronic engineering support, serve as the SLD 45 technical representative for a variety of programs and provide subject matter expertise to the SLD, SSC, HHQ and launch customers concerning Eastern Range (ER) instrumentation systems, improvement and modernization.

Ideal Candidate:
Extensive scientific and technical knowledge of Range instrumentation, and at least 18 months experience working with Eastern Range systems is highly desirable. Experience in test and evaluation. Ability to work effectively in stressful situations. Excellent analytical and leadership skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including the ability to explain complex technical issues and policy to a non-technical audience comprised of senior Wing management, representatives from other Wing and governmental agencies, and contractor personnel.

Extensive knowledge of the role, mission, and goals of SLD 45. Knowledge of advanced technology available for acquisition and SLD 45 use. Ability to develop new Range concepts, programs, and procedures; and direct investigative studies of these technologies Knowledge of automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions. Knowledge of standard contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.
