Buyer III

We are seeking experienced Supply Chain Specialists to support the development and production of next-generation spaceflight systems. In this role, you will manage critical supplier relationships, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate complex agreements, and ensure the successful delivery of technical materials and components that meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for procurement professionals with experience supporting aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or highly regulated industries.

• Manage suppliers and cross-functional teams to support the external development of complex spaceflight systems.
• Lead sourcing activities including preparation of RFPs/RFQs, supplier evaluations, cost analysis, and negotiation strategy development.
• Negotiate and manage various contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Materials (T&M), and Cost-Type contracts (CPFF, CPIF).
• Establish and manage long-term agreements (LTAs), strategic sourcing partnerships, and supplier performance initiatives.
• Own the full procurement lifecycle from requisition creation through supplier payment and issue resolution.
• Ensure materials and components are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical and quality requirements.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to prioritize procurement activities and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Analyze supplier and program metrics to drive data-based decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, quality standards, and internal procurement processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, or supplier management (3+ years with a Master’s degree).
• Experience negotiating complex supplier agreements and multiple contract structures.
• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Experience with FFP, T&M, CPFF, and CPIF contracts.
• Strong analytical skills with experience tracking supplier and program performance metrics.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while balancing competing priorities.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 quality standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation, including specifications and source control drawings.

• Prior experience supporting the aerospace or space industry.
• Experience procuring avionics, electrical, mechanical, or fluid system components.
• Knowledge of ITAR/EAR import/export regulations.
• CPSM, CSCP, or PMP certification.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Jira, or SharePoint.
