As an Access Control Officer in a retail and mall location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting visitors, tenants, and staff. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, conduct routine patrols, and communicate professionally.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.

+ Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests according to site procedures.

+ Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, loading areas, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.

+ Assist with maintaining orderly access and a welcoming environment while communicating professionally with site personnel, customers, and members of the public.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A Guard Card or license is preferred.

+ Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
