The Learning Experience is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent college graduates or early-career accounting professionals looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting within a multi-entity organization.
The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting while working closely with Accounting, Finance, Payroll, and Operations teams. This position offers hands‑on experience, professional development, and opportunities for career growth within a national organization.
Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations- Assist with month‑end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support maintenance of general ledger accounts and accounting records
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, organized, and complete
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support preparation of financial reports and spreadsheets
- Help maintain reporting schedules and accounting documentation
- Assist with ad hoc reporting requests from the Accounting and Finance teams
- Assist with audit preparation and gathering supporting documentation
- Support compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Maintain organized records to support audit readiness and internal controls
- Work within ERP systems such as Net Suite and other financial platforms
- Assist with data entry, account analysis, and system updates
- Support process improvement initiatives and accounting workflow efficiencies
- Partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve accounting-related questions
- Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders regarding accounting requests and documentation
- Support special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Internship experience in accounting, finance, or related fields is a plus
- 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite, Oracle, or Intacct is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
