Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for an organized Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations in Cape Coral, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling transactional accounting tasks, maintaining accurate records, and working with financial data in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to both payables and receivables processes while helping ensure timely and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and prepare payments in accordance with company procedures.

- Record incoming payments, update customer account details, and assist with maintaining accurate receivables balances.

- Enter financial information into accounting systems with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Reconcile account records and investigate discrepancies to help maintain reliable financial reporting.

- Support routine bookkeeping activities by organizing files, tracking transactions, and maintaining current records.

- Communicate with internal teams and external contacts to resolve invoice, payment, or account-related questions.

Requirements

- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting clerk or similar accounting support position.

- Practical experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

- Experience processing invoices and maintaining organized financial documentation.

- Solid understanding of basic accounting procedures and recordkeeping practices.
