Art Teacher (Elementary and Middle School).

We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our team and inspire young minds through the world of art. This role involves teaching art electives to elementary and middle school students, fostering their creativity, and developing their artistic skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to plan and organize engaging lessons.

• Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning space.
• Address and resolve any behavioral issues promptly and fairly.

• Develop and implement comprehensive art lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and standards.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students and accommodate different learning styles.
• Introduce students to various art techniques, mediums, and art history.
• Encourage students to express themselves creatively and develop their unique artistic voice.

• Prepare and organize art materials and supplies for classroom activities.
• Maintain an organized and clean art classroom.
• Manage inventory of art supplies and request new materials as needed.
• Plan and coordinate art displays and exhibitions to showcase student work.

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and development.
• Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and any concerns.

• Stay current with the latest trends and developments in art education.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and workshops.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into the broader school curriculum.

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field. (or any bachelor's degree).
• Teaching certification or licensure in art education.
• Previous experience teaching art to elementary and/or middle school students is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of art techniques, materials, and history.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
