Part Time Instructional Assistant - Sacred Heart Catholic School

Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a qualified and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the classroom teachers in providing an engaging and nurturing learning environment. The Teaching Assistant plays an essential role in fostering academic growth, ensuring student safety, and promoting the mission and values of Sacred Heart Catholic School.

Responsibilities:

Assist the classroom teachers in implementing instructional activities and supporting student learning across subject areas.

Provide small group and individualized academic support under the teacher's direction.

Supervise students during lunch, recess, and transition times to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

Perform clerical and organizational duties, including preparing instructional materials, copying, filing, and maintaining student records.

Support classroom management and contribute to a positive, respectful learning atmosphere.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and administration.

Model and uphold the mission and values of Sacred Heart Catholic School in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.

Substitute in the absence of the classroom teacher

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.

Prior experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Commitment to supporting Catholic education and the values of Sacred Heart Catholic School.

Must pass a Level II Background Screening
