Job DescriptionAs a Field Operator – Traditional Locator, you play a critical role in scaling Exodigo’s growth by providing accurate underground mapping and locating services. You will operate our underground discovery tools, identify underground assets and infrastructure, and collaborate with R&D and operations managers to resolve operational issues.
Responsibilities- Operate underground discovery tools using patented carts and drones.
- Identify underground assets using advanced sensor technology (electromagnetic, magnetic, metal, GPR, seismic, and more).
- Identify infrastructure with traditional utility locating equipment such as electromagnetic locating and related technologies.
- Resolve operational issues on site in coordination with R&D and operations managers.
- Document interactions, site information, and operational reports in organizational software.
- Work with cutting‑edge technology that will revolutionize the construction, transportation, and utility industries.
- 5+ years of experience with traditional utility locating / SUE underground utility locating field operations.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for accuracy.
- Flexible scheduling with willingness to travel domestically across the U.S. (up to 100%).
- Physically able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day, including night shifts at times.
- Able to lift and handle equipment weighing between 20 and 40 lbs when loading and unloading.
- Driver’s license and ability to travel in a vehicle up to four hours to and from job sites.
- Experience traveling domestically to jobs in urban and remote environments across the United States.
- Comfortable working in a 2‑week on/1‑week off rotation.
- Background in earth sciences, engineering, construction, or utility mapping.
- Technological savvy with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues on‑site.
- Excellent English language skills (read/write/speak).
- Team‑goal oriented and able to work with a global team (U.S., Europe, Israel).
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive in recommending ideas and executing planned activities.
- Experience in transportation, utilities, and construction industries (plus).
- OSHA 10 Certificate (plus).
- FAA Part 107 drone pilot (plus).
$33–35 per hour + overtime.
Schedule2‑on/1‑off rotation.
LocationAcross U.S. metros with reasonable access to major airports (e.g., New York, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco, San Jose, etc.).
