We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our Lantana, Florida team. This position is specifically focused on managing environmental assessment and remediation projects under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP).
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing Florida petroleum cleanup projects, understands FDEP requirements and deliverables, and can successfully manage projects from assessment through remediation and regulatory closure.
What You'll Do- Manage environmental assessment and remediation projects under the FDEP Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP).
- Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and regulatory deliverables.
- Prepare, review, and coordinate FDEP reports, work plans, proposals, and other required project documentation.
- Oversee soil and groundwater investigations, monitoring, remediation activities, and site closure efforts.
- Coordinate directly with FDEP, clients, subcontractors, laboratories, drillers, and field personnel.
- Review environmental data and develop practical recommendations for investigation, remediation, and regulatory closure.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to environmental scientists, geologists, engineers, and field staff.
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with Company Health & Safety requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
. - Experience managing petroleum-contaminated site assessment and remediation projects in Florida.
- Strong working knowledge of FDEP petroleum cleanup requirements, reporting, and regulatory processes
. - Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and technical deliverables.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple active projects and priorities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with remediation system design, implementation, operation, and closure.
- Experience developing scopes of work, cost estimates, proposals, and project budgets.
- Existing relationships within the Florida environmental consulting and petroleum remediation market.
$90,000–$110,000 annually
, depending on experience, qualifications, certifications, and demonstrated FDEP PRP project management experience.
