Escrow Officer – onsite – Maitland, FL

The Escrow Officer is responsible for handling all duties related to the closing process while keeping all parties informed. This role is not remote; it is onsite at our Maitland, FL.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Knowledge of all escrow processes and ability to maintain the escrow process from beginning to end.
- Prepare Closing Disclosures and/or ATLA Settlement Statements per client requirements and CFPB/TRID and RESPA guidelines.
- Thoroughly review documents such as surveys, purchase contracts, preliminary title reports, and lender instructions/loan documents, legal descriptions, etc.
- Open pipeline files in a timely fashion and order all required documents (e.g., HOA certificates, tax certificates, surveys).
- Collaborate with the title department to clear title defects by ordering appropriate releases of liens as needed.
- Effectively manage a large pipeline while maintaining time‑frame requirements and providing continuous communication and updates with builder coordinators, buyers, lenders, and realtors.
- Prepare title/escrow company documents for closings and ensure accuracy.
- Be fluent with standard terminology commonly used in the title industry.
- Collect all taxes, HOA fees, delinquencies, and principal and interest associated with the purchase property.
- Conduct face‑to‑face closings with buyers, realtors, and loan officers, outlining the lender’s documents to customers.
- Complete the closing and funding process by obtaining the funding number, copying the closing package, and disbursing funds to all parties via wire or check; prepare and Fed Ex lender packages.
- File recordable documents via e‑recording and send the file for title policy preparation.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- Prior experience working on a builder account and handling all escrow/closings.
- Knowledge of title industry software such as Soft Pro (a plus).
- Excellent phone and customer‑service skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written skills.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with internal peers and external business partners.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Escrow Officer, preferably in a builder environment.
- Prior experience in a fast‑paced environment with heavy volume.
- Active Notary Public.
- Title or Escrow License, if required by the state (preferred).
