DUTIES
Lead accounting operations for mid‑size pet products manufacturer, supervising subordinate accounting team employees, and ensuring proper recording of transactions in compliance with laws, regulations, and U.S. GAAP standards. Examine records and inspect accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, review and process invoices, make and receive payments. Examine records of transactions to confirm accuracy. Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
Prepare financial statements and monthly financial reports for executives, to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing reports for executives that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Report to, and collaborate with, executives regarding company finances, recommending changes in operations and financial activities. Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non‑compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
Utilize software including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Quickbooks, and Calipso.
- U.S. Associate’s degree (AA) (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting.
- 3 years’ experience in the job offered with reference letter.
