As a Branch Teller, you will play an essential role in delivering world‑class service to our members by providing efficient, accurate, and friendly financial transactions. You will process member transactions, promote credit union products and services, and maintain a high level of professionalism and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role involves achieving performance metrics, including transaction accuracy, member satisfaction, and sales targets, while contributing to the overall success of the credit union.
The position may require work in different geographic zones within the TFCU Fields of Membership, which includes the tri‑county area (Miami‑Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County).
Specific Duties Member Interaction & Transactions
- Approach members and visitors with courteous, professional, and timely greetings, ensuring a world‑class experience.
- Accurately process member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashiers’ checks.
- Post transactions to member accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Balance cash drawers daily, handle cash dispensers, and assist with ordering cash, balancing ATMs, and other cash dispensers.
- Handle member transactions promptly and efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Meet optimal transaction handling time targets while delivering superior service.
- Research and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Review member profiles to identify and recommend relevant credit union products and services.
- Actively refer and cross‑sell products and services to enhance the member experience and meet goals.
- Achieve personal referral sales targets by identifying opportunities and applying TFCU integrity sales techniques.
- Participate in sales promotions and campaigns to meet personal and team goals.
- Make outbound calls to current and potential members to promote, refer, and cross‑sell products and services, schedule appointments, and follow up on inquiries.
- Provide members with general and specific information about credit union products and services.
- Interview members regarding their financial needs and present suitable products and services as solutions.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards for outbound calls, maintaining high service levels and compliance.
- Alert branch management or security of suspicious activity such as forgery, theft, fraud, or kiting.
- Complete Currency Transaction Reports, Suspicious Activity Reports, and other regulatory compliance documentation.
- Ensure the work area and equipment remain clean, secure, and well‑maintained per policies and procedures.
- Take ownership of the member experience by addressing concerns, following through commitments, and ensuring resolution of issues.
- Demon state strong accountability by achieving personal and team objectives and meeting daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Keep the manager informed of important operational issues.
- Maintain up‑to‑date comprehensive knowledge of all products, services, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a clean, secure, and well‑organized work area per policies and procedures.
- Uphold BSA and AML compliance, including awareness of suspicious activity relevant to the department.
- Complete annual BSA and OFAC training courses as provided.
- Maintain knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending, and Credit Card Act.
- Comply with all credit union policies and procedures.
