Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting/Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration.

Licenses or Certifications

  • Must have a valid Florida Driver's License or obtain within thirty (30) days of hire.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a member of the Audit Office team, in conjunction with the City Auditor, other Assistant City Auditors, Senior Auditors and administrative support staff.
  • Conduct audits, audit follow-ups, and special projects per the annual audit plan or mandated requests from the City Auditor.
  • Ensure audit services are performed in accordance with the professional standards promulgated by Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS).
  • Create audit work papers and initiate necessary correspondence.
  • Ensure that documented work papers support all audit findings.
