Phlebotomist

Job Description :

Requirement/Must Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong keyboard and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

• Phlebotomy experience including pediatric and geriatric collections preferred.
• Experience in customer service in a retail or service environment is preferred.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Explain procedures to patients and perform collections in a safe, skillful, and accurate manner.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Protect patient confidentiality while ensuring accuracy of information.

• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
