Home Health Aide - PRN

Provides and assists participants with activities of daily living, restoration and supportive care necessary to the preservation of the home environment.

PRN - on Call

$17/hour for HHA or $18/hour for C.N.A

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of the 75-hour Home Health Aide Certification, or a diploma as a Home Health Aide through an approved post‑secondary school required.
• Experience:
  
  A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population required.
• Skills and Knowledge:
  Know principles, practice standards and techniques of a Home Health Aide. Know how to use and maintain medical equipment. Identify and recommend problem resolution.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and means of transportation.
• Work independently with minimum supervision, communicate clearly and effectively.
• 75‑hour FL Home Health Aide Certificate OR active FL Certified Nursing Assistant, Current BLS CPR – Required.

• Assist participants with personal hygiene, in and out of bed, prescribed exercise, use of bathroom and medication ordinarily self‑administered.
• Prepare and assist participants with meals.
• Take vitals, change colostomy bags, change non‑sterile dressing and non‑sterile bowel and bladder hygiene care for specific participants.
• Perform directed household services.
• Report changes in participants’ conditions and needs to the In‑Home Supervisor; complete appropriate documents of services.
• Maintain confidentiality and a safe working environment.
• Handle potentially infectious specimens with appropriate biohazard precautions and practices.
• Perform other duties as required or requested.
