Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Type: Pool/Non-Exempt
Shift Details: Pool:
Day and night shifts as needed – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Must be available at least 2 shifts per month, including holidays such as Christmas, New Years Day, and one of Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, or Thanksgiving Day.
Work Location: Crisis – Bridge Center For Hope, Baton Rouge, LA
Salary/Hourly Wage: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
Sign‑on Bonus: $0
New employees attend a three‑day orientation and training (Mon‑Wed onsite).
Responsibilities- Provide education about diabetic care, psychiatric medications, and other medical needs to enhance individual health and well‑being.
- Coordinate care, including assisting individuals with scheduling medical and provider appointments.
- Assist with intake processes and collect blood or urine specimens, arranging transport to lab as ordered.
- Monitor patients and oversee medication administration under RN supervision, maintain medication records, and complete clinical documentation.
- Adhere to federal and state regulations, Recovery Innovations policies, and compliance standards including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest.
- Support medical assistants and staff in treatment and discharge planning.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
- Current and valid LPN license.
- Minimum one year working in a behavioral health setting.
- Understanding of psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, indications, side effects, and interactions.
- Ability to implement behavioral management interventions with agitated guests.
- Basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem‑solving ability.
- Verbal and written communication.
- Effective listening.
- Strong clinical documentation skills.
- Pass de‑escalation training as per state requirements.
- Meet Recovery Innovations driving policy if needed; otherwise sign Non‑Driver Attestation.
- Minimum 18 years of age (21 in Arizona, 24 in Louisiana).
- Travel based on business need.
- Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA).
- Complete credentialing process.
- Must pass a seven‑year background check.
- Must pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculosis testing (if applicable).
- Must pass education verification check.
- Must obtain fingerprinting clearance in applicable states.
- Must pass a three‑year motor vehicle report if driving is required.
May include work close to the eyes, substantial wrist, hand and finger motions, frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity. Requires visual and auditory coordination; can lift up to 25 lbs.
Work EnvironmentMay work in office or behavioral health facility; may have contact with agitated or confused individuals.
