Compensation:
- $16.00 per hour
- Scribes should discretely carry out duties under the direction and control of the provider. A scribe is not a decision maker or interpreter of medical information.
- Accompany physician into the patient examination room toassistin transcribing a history and medical exam, and accurately document the physician's encounter with the patient and any others present
- List all proper diagnoses and symptoms, follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician
- Transcribe patient order results including laboratory tests, radiology tests, etc.
- Document any procedures performed by the physician
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Recognition of medical exam process and ability to record exam details
- Computer proficiency, especially in the EMR system, to appropriately and accurately document the patient's electronic chart
- Ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Ability to accurately record information
- Organizational skills with focus on tracking patient care and improving patient flow
- Professional demeanor and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Must bea self-starter that is detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking
- Comfortable in a fast-paced working environment of a growing practice
- Experience in a medical center, large health system, or multispecialty group
- College level coursework with a clinical emphasis preferred
- Medical Terminology and Anatomy/Physiology is preferred
- Must have reliable transportation to allow for inter-office I ravels, when necessary.
- Must be able to stand forlong periodsof time
