Field Services Representative; Part-Time

About The Role

Passionate about network infrastructure? Your next role will ensure the networks we manage exceed the expectations of our clients. As a Field Services Representative, you’ll provide IT infrastructure that meets the needs of today’s technology‑savvy students on the campuses of the University of West Florida (Pensacola) and Coastal Alabama Community College. You’ll work part‑time, 20‑25 hours per week depending on workload.

• Providing exceptional service to customers
• Working with Boldyn Networks to address end‑user and network escalations
• Coordinating client activities such as move‑in events
• Responding promptly to emergency outages
• Monitoring, investigating, and retiring equipment alarms
• Collaborating with local network partners on escalated issues
• Maintaining your own schedule for onsite appointments within a 24‑48 hour SLA
• Tracking and updating escalation tickets
• Assisting with customer install activities as needed
• Upholding Boldyn Networks policies and end‑user agreements in your region
• Generating required reports
• Attending training events as required
• Performing other documentation and administrative duties as requested

• Quick technical aptitude for learning new products and troubleshooting
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate status and progress updates
• Reliability in delivering on commitments and meeting deadlines
• Initiative to own and resolve issues promptly, including escalation when necessary

• Physical requirements:
  
  use of hands, power tools, standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Responder call‑back model: availability during weekends, holidays, or outside typical business hours may be required for outages or scheduled maintenance.

• Experience with commercial‑grade networking equipment
• Experience with fiber and copper‑based, PON, DSLAM, RF via coax, and QAM technologies
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical, analog, digital, electronic, switching, and routing concepts
• Relevant certifications such as Net+, CCENT, CCNA, CWTS
• Experience with Cable TV “headend” equipment
• Associate’s degree in a technical field with 2+ years of experience or a four‑year degree in a technology field
• 2‑3 years of help‑desk or technical support experience
• 2‑3 years of customer support experience
