Vision Ace Hardware is looking for a skilled mechanic/technician, proficient in diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of outdoor power equipment, with a friendly demeanor for talking to customers. A Stihl Technician is responsible for the overall success of the Stihl and outdoor power equipment department, serving as the key point‑of‑contact in the store to establish and promote relationships with Stihl customers, and the go‑to person for all questions regarding power equipment.

This position requires continual technical training and growth.

• Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed on STIHL power equipment.
• Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components and machines.
• Perform all service tasks.
• Prepare all forms (details of work performed on repair orders) to be entered into our computer system.
• Report any additional work required on equipment to customers, for proper and safe operation.
• Participate in all training programs.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Bring to the attention of the Store Manager any shop tools or equipment that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use.
• Pay: $18.00 / hour.
• Weekend availability a must.
