Tool Crib Attendant

Receives, stores, maintains andissues hand tools, machine tools, cutting tools, and general industrial equipment in contract machining establishment by performing the following duties.

• Receive, store, setup, andissue cutting tools, hand tools, fixtures, etc. in a machine shop.
• Maintain inventory levelswithin the computer system
• Setup tools based on Toollist and Setup sheets.
• Issue tools and assistmachinists as they need assistance.
• Create job boxes for newjobs. Label fixturing and update computer files.
• Inspect and measure toolsfor defects and wear, using micrometers, visual and/or vision systems,etc.

• Knowledge of cuttingtools:
  
  E.g. endmills, drills, taps, inserts, turning tools, etc.
• Knowledge of cutting toolgeometries, grades, coatings, tool holders, etc.
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Able to work with and communicate with other employees and maintain a positive attitude
• Grinding experience is aplus

• Lifting, pulling, walking and sitting.
• Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds

• Two to four years’ related experience and/or training
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such asfundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability toapply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions topractical situations.

  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel Spreadsheet, Inventorysoftware, Internet software and Order processing systems.

Standard 1st shift:
Monday thru Thursday, 6:0am-4:30pm
OT Friday 6:0am-2:30pm (When needed)
