Position Summary:

Maintenance and repair of tooling. Waxing of tooling in accordance with established wax procedures and schedules. Maintains the condition of deck, hull and small part tooling.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Apply high energy, self motivation and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes.

Ability to use high-speed pneumatic/battery powered tools (buffers, power sander, etc.) and hand tools safely and effectively.

Sand and buff problem area to make a smooth, shiny surface.

Must be able to read drawings and specifications

Complete required documentation of finished parts for production purposes

Daily job duties will be varied and dynamic.

Workload will be tracked via daily schedules and assignments requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion.

Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE and following safety policy and hazardous material guidelines.

Must practice good housekeeping by keeping work areas clean at all times.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or

Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior gel coat and/or autobody experience preferred.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
