What You ll Do

As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the community while ensuring compliance with all state regulations and company standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and coordinate all nursing and clinical services within the community.
  • Ensure compliance with Florida regulations, company policies, and clinical best practices.
  • Complete pre-admission assessments for prospective residents.
  • Perform resident admissions, monthly, quarterly, and annual assessments as required.
  • Develop, review, and update individualized care plans based on resident needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the nursing team while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture.
  • Coordinate resident medical, dental, laboratory, and specialty appointments.
  • Assist physicians during resident examinations when needed.
  • Review, transcribe, and implement physician orders accurately.
  • Ensure medications are administered and documented according to all applicable regulations and standards of practice.
  • Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely communication with physicians and families.
  • Participate in quality assurance, infection prevention, emergency preparedness, and staff education programs.
  • Ensure compliance with community policies, fire safety procedures, and disaster preparedness plans.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to provide exceptional resident care and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing required
    .
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
  • Knowledge of Florida assisted living regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Passion for providing exceptional care and creating a positive experience for residents, families, and associates.
