Trained Medication Assistant

Join Gulf Coast Assisted Living (Palmview) as a full time Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) in beautiful Cape Coral, FL. It’s a paid opportunity to serve others and make a meaningful impact in a healthcare setting.

Pay Range:
Up to $18.05 per hour.

Schedule:

Full-time, 1st shift (7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.), including every other weekend.

  Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year experience as a Med-Tech (preferred).
• Registered or certified as a nursing assistant.
• Completion of a state approved training program in medication administration with certificate received.
• Effective communicator with staff, families and outside agencies.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and as delegated by the licensed nurse or registered nurse in compliance with all state/federal requirements.

• Administration of medications and treatments as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Follow all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding measuring of vital signs, weights and administration of medications and treatments.
• Follow facility medication protocols.
• Obtain report, getting full information on residents’ conditions and new orders.
• Confer with team members concerning assignments, routines, and rehabilitation of residents. Discuss with charge nurse any necessary changes.
