Line Cook

Responsibilities

• Oversee assigned areas of culinary production and work service.
• Execute recipes, maintain kitchen equipment, and always be on time.
• Use working knowledge of basic cooking techniques; measuring, knife skills, sautéing, grilling, roasting, poaching, etc.
• Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards of the restaurant.

• Minimum 1-3 years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant or establishment of similar caliber.
• High School Diploma or equivalent level of education required (must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Organized, motivating, demonstrates excellent communication skills, personable. Working knowledge of reservation management systems highly preferred.
• Passion for pursuing cooking career.
