Product Demonstrator Part Time

Overview

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of represented products, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies, intercept consumers, and demonstrate products in a professional manner. The Associate must maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.

• Possesses aptitude and ability to gain adequate product knowledge.
• Proactively intercepts, engages, interacts, and sells products to consumers in a positive manner.
• Effectively communicates product features and benefits.
• Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintains a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintains a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
• Properly sets up and prepares the event table for execution.
• Achieves 100% execution on assigned work.
• Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
• Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
• Completes expense reports as per company policy.
• Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Accesses the internet, navigates company electronic systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF forms.

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company may change the role based on business needs.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device, including applications and internal systems.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach overhead up to 65 inches, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up ladders, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally 50 pounds), push and pull a full demonstration cart, prepare foods and beverages using required appliances, and handle cleaning supplies.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance: Must ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming. The associate must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in training documents.

Language Skills: English is primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
