As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including:

• Cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations.
• Staffing, paperwork, food management, schedule adherence, image and standard compliance, great customer service, attendance & punctuality, transportation, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability.
• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility daily.

Communication and Essential Functions

• Ability to comprehend and give written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide accurately and quickly.
• Make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid precise movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

• Varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
• In‑store temperatures from 36°F to 90°F+.
• Sudden changes in temperature inside/outside.
• Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters.
• Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F.
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
• Working with eyes and hands for tasks like translating signals.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: most tasks performed from standing position.
• Walking: continuous walking across the store.
• Lifting: bulk delivery lifts up to 50 lbs, stacked to 72 in height.
• Carrying: large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of dough (12 lb per tray) carried over short distances.
• Pushing/Pulling: moving trays on dollies (around 24–30 lb; force up to 7.5 lb).
• Climbing: infrequent use of stairs or ladder for sign changes or maintenance.
• Bending & crouching: forward bending at assembly station; squeezing to access low spots.
• Reaching: continuous up, down, forward.
• Hand tasks: eye‑hand coordination, forearm and wrist use for shaping dough.
