Member Specialist - Part Time

Position Summary

Responsible for delivering member service at the Sam’s Club checkout area, including processing purchases, resolving member issues, supporting self‑service technology, and maintaining a safe and organized environment.

• Provide member service, identify member needs, and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
• Process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges following company policies for different membership and payment types.
• Maintain checkout, entrance, and exit areas, perform safety sweeps, and enforce safety standards.
• Correctly handle merchandise, zone the area, arrange and organize products, and identify shrink or damage.
• Assist members with locating merchandise and transporting items securely.
• Maintain logs, paperwork, and other required documentation, and execute emergency response procedures.
• Assist with training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, technology tools, and new program rollouts.
• Promote a culture of integrity, ethics, and open communication by applying the Open Door Policy and other internal practices.
• Collaborate with managers, co‑workers, and partners to prioritize work, communicate progress, and drive continuous improvements.
• Act in a respectful, inclusive, and supportive manner, building strong relationships and mentoring others.

• High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience with front‑end equipment (e.g., cash registers) is required.
• Experience working with mobile retail applications.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compliance with Walmart and Sam’s Club safety and security policies.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or front‑line member service role.

• Hourly wage range: $17.00 to $25.00*.

* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may include premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
