Member Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide member service and maintain the checkout area.
• Resolve member issues and concerns, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
• Promote Sam’s Club products and services and provide guidance on self-service technology.
• Verify membership cards, identify member needs, and assist with purchasing decisions.
• Maintain entrance and exit areas, conduct safety sweeps, and report unsafe situations to facility management.
• Arrange and organize merchandise, zone the area, and assist members with transporting items.
• Assist with training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, technology, and new program rollouts.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and ethical standards, including reporting potential criminal activity and maintaining required documentation.
• Collaborate with managers and coworkers to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and identify improvement opportunities.

• Retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
• Experience working with mobile retail applications.

• Experience in a high-volume retail environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management software.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Hourly wage range: $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
