Position Summary
Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes, and staying organized? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members. You will follow recipes, wrap, label, and store merchandise to ensure the freshest items are available for members to take home. You may juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders.

- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with the members of the team; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
- Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes/make‑up instructions; wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies and procedures; ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize hand held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies and procedures; ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience and modeling high quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality; and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
