A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Pipe Foreman for our large heavy civil project located in Cape Coral, FL.

Responsibilities include:

• Running main line machine for the installation of a pipe.
• Providing overall leadership and directing the activities of field crew employees. Working with field employees to increase productivity.
• Overseeing, instructing, and participating in the installation and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, sanitary sewer lines, etc.
• Performing any required testing for installed systems.
• Being responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards.
• Filling out daily reports including crew member's hours, equipment hours, appropriate cost codes, and production quantities.
• Communicating effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers.
• Participating in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.
• Performing jobsite quality control checks.

Qualifications include:

• At least 5 years of Water & Sewer Utility experience.
• At least 2 years of Utility Foreman experience.
• Experience in large diameter storm drains, water main, dewatering, well point system.
• FDOT experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work – such as excavators, trench boxes, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.
• Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members' work.

Certifications include:

• OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour).
• CPR Certification.
