Senior Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

General Maintenance Technician – Full time; shifts may vary. Base pay: $21.00 to $40.00 per hour. Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on all commercial equipment in Walmart stores. Develop preventive maintenance schedules, conduct training for Store Associates, and manage work orders and schedules.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain facilities, equipment, or fixtures (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment).
• Complete routine maintenance to ensure safety and proper functionality.
• Manage work orders and maintenance schedules; provide required written and electronic documentation such as expense vouchers, weekly summaries, and maintenance logs.

• 5 years’ experience in maintenance or related trade (plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.
• 1 year of experience using intermediate level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Additional years of experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, or food equipment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and clear, respectful communication.
• Personal accountability and effective time management.
• Ability to adapt to changing demands and prioritize tasks.
• Team‑oriented with servant‑leadership mindset.
